Week 9 & 1 day

At the ultrasound today, we saw the twins moving around for the first time! It must have been naptime for Baby A. A Johnson was pretty mellow and even-keeled. However, Baby B was steeling the show and looking somewhat like a synchronized swimmer. The twinners are already a bit competitive as it didn’t take long for A to wake up and do a little showing off too!

After the ultrasound, Tyler sent me one of the best emails. “I can’t stop thinking about them. My head is swirling”! Only 31 weeks to go until we get to meet the dynamic duo!

Our little embryo's have now officially graduated to fetus-hood. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, that babies are kind of starting to look like...well...a baby! Your eyes are fully formed, but eyelids are fused shut and won’t open until 27 weeks. Now that your basic physiology is in place, you’re both poised for rapid weight gain.

Our little embryo's are now each the size of a green olive!
