Big Boy

Deacon has out grown his infant car seat and rode in his new convertible seat this morning. He absolutely loves this seat! I think his smile in the pictures says a thousand words.

We went to Kindering this morning as a follow up from Deacon's PT/OT appointment a few weeks ago. Kindering is a "Washington State Early Intervention" program. Swedish had recommended that Deacon go to physical therapy once a week to help with the development of his gross motor skills. Swedish had assessed his gross, fine and cognitive development. In order to participate in this program, Kindering also needed to assess his behavioral development (intensity, activity, persistence and emotionality). He scored "corrected age typical". I was a little disappointed that they would not re-assess his gross skills as that's where he had previously scored the lowest and has been doing really well since the initial assessment. Regardless, we'll be meeting with a therapist once a week to work on his motor development. The gal that will work with Deacon is different than the one that assessed him today. She specifically specializes in motor development. Once we meet with her, we will have a better idea as to how long Deacon will need to continue his PT.
